Bugfix for Debian 4 Etch Vsftpd 2.0.5 SSL-Bug Filezilla Error: Could not read from transfer socket: ECONNABORTED - Connection Solution: Download compiled vsftpd 2.1.2 for Debian 4 Etch i386 . Read readme.txt in archiv vsftpd-2-1-2-debian-4-etch-i386.tar.gz and follow instructions. Important: Seems not to work on openVZ-based virtual private server. The cause of this problem is unknown.
